Biography:
Born in Perth, WA I started playing piano at the age of 8 learning the suzuki method of classical piano. At the age of 16, I started learning guitar of which I took many of my metal and hard rock based influences. At 18, I played lead/rhythm guitar for a working cover band, playing in the metro area as well as touring the goldfields and other rural locations across WA.
I continued to play synth and guitar as the band went through many line-up
changes. It wasn't until February 2000 that I received a response to an
online ad from Linus. I thought I'd see what they were about and was instantly
amazed at the raw talent and energy that were Duane, Linus & Con.
I took on the workload of the two bands for a number of months before
focussing all my energy to ShadowPlay, leaving the financial benefits
of the Perth cover scene. It's been the best decision I've made to date.
